Prior 1910 near Aylesbury Station - shot and presented to County Museum.
1952 Little Marlow GPs - Adult from 27th Oct to 7th Nov.
1970 Hurley - 1 on the River Thames from 11th-31st Mar.
1971 Stanton Low GP - A diver Sp from 25th Feb to 8th Mar was considered to be of this species.
1976 Calvert - 1 from 13th-16th Feb and 22nd Feb.
1978 Hurley - A diver Sp on the River Thames  on 19th Feb was considered to be of this species.
1978 Wotton Lakes - 1 from 5th-12th Mar.
1979 Willen - 1 on 14th Mar.
1980 Willen - 1 from 7th-10th Oct
1986 Willen - 1 on 7th Feb.
1987 Weston Turville Res. - A slightly oiled adult from 8th-10th Dec was taken into care but later died.
1988 Calvert - A diver Sp on 17th Nov was considered to be of this species.
1989 Willen - 14 on 2nd Apr, with 6 present just after dawn on on 3rd and 2 remaining until 09:00.  This influx may have been caused by snow on the E coast.
1990 Little Marlow GP - Juvenile 16th Dec until 12th Jan 1991.

1972 Willen - 1 in early Mar was picked up dead after an overnight storm.
1976 Tring Res. - 1 from 12th-13th flew west into Bucks on 13th.
1979 Little Marlow GPs - 1 on 18th Feb.
1983 Waddesdon - 1 found in a field on 13th Nov was taken into care but later died.
1985 Caldecotte - 1 1st winter bird from 31st Oct to 17th Nov.
1994 Haddenham - 1 on 2nd Jan.
1996 Bradwell lake, Linford - A 1st winter bird from 18th-22nd Dec.
1998 Calvert - A 1st winter bird on 6th Nov was found dead the following day.

1865 Temple Island near Henley - 1 killed.
1944 Calvert - An immature shot on 11th Nov.
1964 Foxcote Res. - 1 found in a field on 4th Nov was released on the reservoir but was found dead 2 days later.
1965 Iver GPs - 1 on 17th Jan.
1971 Willen Village - 1 found dead probably in Feb.
1972 Linford GPs - 1 on 12th Nov.
1986 Taplow GP - 1 from 12th Dec to 11th Jan 1987.  Photo

2000 Great Brickhill - An adult picked up in poor condition on 6th Apr was taken to St Tiggywinckles Wildlife Hospital.

2001 Willen Lake - 2nd Mar.
2004 Calvert - 1 on 29th Feb. following a large movement on the E coast.
2006 Calvert - 1 briefly on 25th Feb following poor weather on the E coast,

1981 Old Slade - 1 from 16th-26th Apr. was finally found dead.
1981 Willen - 1 27th-28th Apr. was seen plunge diving.
1981 Walton, Milton Keynes - 1 on 27th Apr.
1981 Woughton, Milton Keynes - 1 picked up exhausted on 27th Apr.
1990 Chalfont St Peter - An adult picked up partially oiled on 25th Jan was later released.
1990 Wilstone Reservoir - An adult was seen to fly SW into Bucks on 28th Oct.

1995 Linford/Newport Pagnall/Emberton - 1 on 17th Jun then 1-2 on various dates to the year end, probably the same individual/s and most likely escapees from Weston Underwood.
1995 Marlow - 1 roosted regularly from 6th to 15th July.
1995 Calvert - An Egret on 7th Oct was thought to be of this species.
1996 N Bucks - It is thought that one individual is responsible for many sightings in N Bucks during the year.   It is considered likely that this bird is an escapee from Weston Underwood in 1995.

1996 Dorney Common -  Two birds of the race A.f. rossicus reported on 13th and 14th Dec. (There was a modest influx of this species into England at this time).
1996 College Lake - Two birds of the race A.f. rossicus reported between Dec 1996 and 24th Jan 1997 but often elusive.
2003 Linford - An adult of the race "rossicus" on 23rd Feb.
2005 Newport Pagnall - 1 of race "rossicus" 9th-12th Mar.
2005 Gayhurst Quarry - Above bird from 21st, 30th and 31st.
2006 College Lake - 14 of the race "rossicus" from 27th Jan to 4th Feb.

1966 Mentmore - 60-70 on 6th Mar flying by moonlight.
1968 High Wycombe - 30 flying NW on 31st Dec.
1979 The Lee - 70 over west on 28th Jan.
1990 Linford - A probable family party of 6 on 24th Dec.
1992 Willen - 2 adults and 3 immatures came in at dusk on 9th Oct.
1998 Drayton Parslow - 9 over east on 10th Mar.
2003 Marlow - 3 over high NW on 15th Feb.

1985 Willen - c110 flew E in 3 skeins on 12th Jan and then seen at Willen, Linford and Hyde Lane on various dates until 22nd Feb.

1985 Dadford - 42 over on 26th Oct.
1986 Haddenham - 43 on 4th Nov.
1987 Broadwater GP (Gr London) - 9 present on 19th-20th Dec flew into Bucks on both dates.
1991 Marlow - 12 ads + 6 juveniles over on 21st Oct.
1991 Willen - 46 over heading N on 27th Dec.
1992 Willen - 6 flew over to the N on 5th Mar.
1993 Linford - 6 on 10th Jan.
1995 Linford - A wintering flock of 35 on 6th Dec peaked at 38 on 11th Feb 1996.  Smaller numbers remained until 26th March.
1997 Calvert - 8 arrived from the N on 14th Jan stayed until 26th.
1997 Linford - c14 on 27th Dec 1997.  21 on Jan 22nd-23rd 1998, and in various numbers until 30th Jan.
1998 Cosgrove - 19 on 16th Jan declining to 2 on 20th.
1998 Linford - 4 over on 15th Mar.
1998 Little Marlow GP - A flock of over 70 on 4th Dec, thereafter 50-63 commuted between Cockmarsh (Berks) and Little Marlow into 1999.
2000 Little Marlow GP - 24 in from the N on 16th Jan flew off W.
2000 Linford - 1 on 16th Jan.
2002 Marlow - 3 over SE on 13th Oct.
2004 Marlow - 5 over W on 14th Nov.

Barnacle Goose

Feral birds breed in the north of the county and form flocks of 50+ birds. All records of this species almost certainly refer to these or other feral birds.  However, on 4th April 1999, seven Barnacles were present at Little Marlow GP for a short time and were regarded by the observers as being very wary.   Bearing in mind the time of year and the distance from the feral flocks in the north of the county, these have perhaps the best credentials as any for wild birds.

1998 Tilehouse GP - The regular female was seen regularly from 28th Feb to 10th Apr.   It reappeared on 14th Nov and seen on 3 other dates.
1999 Tilehouse GP - The regular female was seen on 10th Jan.  A second female was seen on 4th Apr, with both birds together at nearby Troy Mill GP (Middlesex) and Broadwater GP (Herts).
