Bearded Tit Panurus hiarmicus

A single female was found by Paul Moon having initially been picked up by it's "pinging" call. The following day two males and two females were soon found and were enjoyed by a good number of birders. The birds remained until 14th November at least allowing a good many birders to get a county tick.
Two charts of Bearded Tit sightings in the county are shown below As the chart shows this species was far more regular between 1972 and 1994 than since, when it has been a very scarce species (none since 2006 until this occurance.
