Black-bellied Dipper Cinclus cinclus
Three Locks - March 1991
The Dipper of the continental sub-species and known as "Black-bellied Dipper" was first around 1st March by local fishermen along the R ouzel and after much searching was found at Stapleford Mill near Three Locks on 6th March, where it stayed until 13th. There are only fourteen Dipper records for the county.
