Dunlin Calidris alpina

Little Marlow Gravel Pit - 11th May 2007

This flock was no doubt attracted by the extensive shallow margins offered by the man made sand spit at Little Marlow.  The Dunlin is one of the more commonly seen passage waders in Bucks but a small flock of summer plumaged birds is always nice to see.

One of the most common passage waders seen in Bucks.  This individual wandered between Bucks and Herts at this reservoir near to Tring.
