This adult Grey Wagtail had apparently bred in the area as there were several juveniles around the lake.

This rather smart individual was photographed shortly after the waterfall was completed.  A nice garden bird making the building effort worthwhile.

This species is not uncommon in the county but rather local and with the bulk of the population confined to the Chilterns where fast flowing streams provide it's favoured habitat.  It is not unusual to see them in towns and in gardens, providing water (preferably flowing) is provided.
