This 1st summer Grey Plover was present at Linford from 8th May departing overnight on 10th May. This gave the opportunity for a number of Bucks listers to tick this rather difficult county bird. Although commonly seen around the coast Grey Plovers are not particularly common inland and tend to only stay for brief periods. On top of that records of the species have reduced significant in recent years (see chart) The chart also shows that the first half of May is the peak time to see this species.
