This fledgling Reed Bunting has only recently left the nest. It still has a large fledgling type bill and lacks some flight feathers and a tail.

The Reed Bunting is not uncommon in suitable habitat. As it's name suggest it is a bird of wet habitats and this excellent photograph of a male in breeding plumage, was taken adjacent to the lake at Little Marlow.
