Rock Pipit Anthus petrosus
Little Marlow - 21st March 2004
Photo supplied by Jim Rose
This Rock Pipit was present on the sand spit at Little Marlow for several days and seen by many observers. It is of the Scandinavian race "littoralis", a sub-species which is seen most years in the county. The pale supercilium and double wing bars can just be seen in the picture. The bird was very distant when this photograph was taken, hence the relatively poor quality image.
