This county first was found by Bob Tunnicliffe during the morning.  It identity was not immediately clear and it was first thought to be a possible Red-necked.  As soon as word got out about it's true identity the largest twitch in Buckinghamshire for some years got under way.  The bird was fairly distant making photography difficult, but not preventing observers appreciating the finer points of the bird.

The bird, a male, should have been on it's breeding grounds in NW USA/Canada.
