Bird Sightings

Seen an interesting bird?  Then let us know by submitting a record on our on-line database.  It is easy to do but if you need some instructions take a look at the Submit Sightings Page.  To view the latest sightings just click on the menu item for Latest Sightings.

Some birds are not uncommon in other parts of the country or around our coasts, but may be in Buckinghamshire.  If you want to see just how scarce a particular species is then take a look at the Bucks List.

Field Trip Welney WWT

10 Feb 2018 - 10: to 16:00

at Welney WWT, Station Road, Welney (Lat/Long 52.5269 and 0.278335)

WELNEY MARSHES (Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust)
Wintering ducks, Bewick’s and Whooper Swans, wintering waders and a variety of raptors.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This is a Saturday event and the WWT have a “Swans Awake” event on this day, starting at 6am until 9am.  The Bucks Bird Club event will start at 10am which is the usual opening time of the reserve.  So you have the option to attend both Swan’s Awake and the BBC meeting or just the BBC meeting.  Please note that booking is essential for the “Swan’s Awake” event.  For details and cost see this link.
