Some birds are not uncommon in other parts of the country or around our coasts, but may be in Buckinghamshire.  If you want to see just how scarce a particular species is then take a look at the Bucks List.

Field Trip Elmley Marshes and Sheppy

at Elmley National Nature Reserve, , Elmley (Lat/Long 51.3772 and 0.783506)

We should see a wide variety of raptors, waders and seabirds.

Meet at Kingshill Farm NNR car park at TQ937678. Post Code: ME12 3RN From Junction 5 on the M2, follow the A249 towards Sheerness. The reserve is signposted from the exit for Iwade and Ridham Dock, which is immediately before the Sheppey bridge. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the old road bridge. On the Isle of Sheppey, after a minute or two, take the first right, following the brown Elmley Reserve sign. There is a 2 mile (3km) access road to the car park at Kingshill Farm.
