Bird Sightings

Seen an interesting bird?  Then let us know by submitting a record on our on-line database.  It is easy to do but if you need some instructions take a look at the Submit Sightings Page.  To view the latest sightings just click on the menu item for Latest Sightings.

Some birds are not uncommon in other parts of the country or around our coasts, but may be in Buckinghamshire.  If you want to see just how scarce a particular species is then take a look at the Bucks List.

Field Trip Shardeloes Lake

13 Oct 2019 - 09:30 to 13:00

at Shardeloes Lake, , Amersham (Lat/Long 51.6717 and -0.631564)

Shardeloes Lake is always a pleasant place to go birding in the beautiful Chiltern Hills.  The lake should produce a number of wildfowl.  Little Grebes are usually reliably seen here.  We also hope to see a number of passerines including (hopefully) some Winter visitors, such as Redwings and Fieldfare.  There is always a possibility of a Grey Wagtail along the stream or a Water Rail around the lake.

Meet at 9:30am at HP7 0RL

Leader Rob Andrews.
